Leeds is my home town and where I've lived and worked for much of my life, and though my home is now in the Yorkshire Dales I remain a city boy at heart. Look up above the bustling shopping streets and you'll discover a world of Victorian architectural splendour now being complemented by more modern architecture such as the Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility (RERF) or the Leeds Armouries. Walk around and you discover gems such as St Pauls House in Park Square, Temple Works, Tower Works or my personal favourite Brotherton House (unfairly in sad decline).
The city is ever changing and renewing, and while other towns and cities in West Yorkshire have had their struggles, it continues to grow and prosper; a true, vibrant, Northern powerhouse.
